BACKGROUND INFORMATION FOR MICHAEL KORTZ, RFC

Professional: Michael Kortz, RFC is a Registered Financial Consultant designee who holds a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of California at Irvine . He has been helping small businesses and individuals with their insurance since 1999. Michael has saved his clients substantial amounts on their life, health, disability and long term care insurance.

Personal: Michael grew up on the water and began racing sailboats at age 8. He became a national sailing champion, winning the Sears Cup in 1983. In college he was a member of the U.C. Irvine Sailing Team. Michael was an avid musician, signing a recording contract at age 18. He went on to record and tour extensively. His music can be heard in numerous action sports movies including the Wave Warriors series and the Crusty Demons series. He also enjoys martial arts and mixed martial arts, and has earned his Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in Shotokan karate.

Giving Back: In 2006, Michael founded the Kortz Family Foundation with the charitable intent of providing aid to those in need, such as the hungry and the elderly, and promoting causes such as juvenile diabetes research and local community education for children.
